In the context of the February 2025 election results in the German Bundestag, the future of German democracy has emerged as a key topic in public discourse. This development has had a notable impact in the Republic of Moldova, particularly on the country’s foreign relations. In this regard, on April 8, German and Moldovan experts and officials discussed the effects of the elections on Moldova’s politics and security, as well as the support that Germany can offer in Moldova’s European integration process within an uncertain geopolitical context. The special guests of the event were Dominik Hirndorf (KAS Berlin), Lucas Schmitz (Member of the Parliament of the State of Hesse), Dr. Anneli Ute Gabanyi (Political science researcher and journalist), and Vadim Pistrinciuc (Executive Director, Institute for Strategic Initiatives).

The event was organized by the Konrad Adenauer Foundation and Friedrich Ebert Stiftung Moldova.
