Democratization and Political Participation

Moldova faces the challenge of consolidating its democratic institutions and rule of law, and cultivating a democratic culture that would bring the country into full compliance with the European Union standards. FES contributes to this process by promoting political cooperation and citizens’ political participation. The Foundation places special emphasis on developing the capacities of citizens in rural regions, empowering them to partipate in the decision-making processes, critically follow and participate in public debates, monitor the decision-makers, articulate their views and act on behalf of their interests.
