The first issue of the 2025 FES/APE foreign policy newsletter is dedicated to the main challenges that the Republic of Moldova may face this year. The energy crisis in the separatist region of Transnistria caused by Russia, the war in Ukraine and its impact on the Republic of Moldova, as well as the crucial parliamentary elections for the political future of the Republic of Moldova are among the main issues discussed. In the two interviews with PAS MP, Ina Coșeru, and the leader of the Coalition for Unity and Welfare (CUB), Igor Munteanu, we talked about the European or not future of the Republic of Moldova and analysed the main challenges of our country this year. The editorial is signed by the TVR Moldova and the Balkan Insight journalist Madalin Necsutu, while the analysis by Natalia Stercul, director of the Foreign Policy Association (APE). Both materials delve into these major challenges for the Republic of Moldova in 2025 and provide a complete analysis of the dangers that await Chisinau this year.
