The August issue of the FES/APE foreign policy bulletin focuses on measures to implement European Union requirements in terms of reforms that Chișinău needs to undertake to align its domestic legislation with that of the European Union. The latest monitoring report on the implementation of the European Commission's recommendations shows a rather sinusoidal path with ups and downs, rather than a linear and predictable process. The conclusions of the experts who drafted the report and who discussed the areas of freedom of expression, justice and human rights, as well as administration – Nadine Gogu, Vadim Vieru, Adrian Ermurachi – are that the Republic of Moldova is on the right track in this process of accession to the EU despite the difficulties.
