Foreign Policy Newsletter 10/224 October 2024: Moldova is stepping on a future of thin ice

This current issue of the FES/APE foreign policy newsletter is dedicated to the first round of the presidential elections and the constitutional referendum for the accession of the Republic of Moldova to the European Union with all the political implications deriving from these two extremely important elections for the future of the Republic of Moldova. In this newsletter, we are inviting you to read interviews with Felix Hett, representative of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES) for Ukraine and Moldova, and sociologist Ian Lisnevschi, director of the Intellect Group, about how they perceived the presidential elections and the referendum. The edition contains an editorial signed by Alexandru Tănase, former Minister of Justice and Chairman of the Constitutional Court, as well as an analysis by political analyst Denis Cenusa regarding the diaspora vote and the protest vote in the plebiscite and the presidential elections of October 20.
