This year’s edition of the European Integration Forum reaffirmed the Republic of Moldova’s commitment to completing accession negotiations with the European Union by 2028 and to continuing structural reforms in administration, justice, the economy, and digitalization. The event brought together representatives from the Government, Parliament, the business community, civil society, and international partners, providing a platform for dialogue to assess progress, identify challenges, and set strategic directions for the country’s European path.

Key topics discussed included the implementation of the reform agenda, economic convergence with EU standards, strengthening the rule of law, combating corruption, improving public administration efficiency, developing digital infrastructure, and promoting social cohesion. Participants emphasized the need to continue reforms across all areas, the importance of transparency and effective communication with citizens, as well as the active role of civil society and external partners in supporting the European trajectory. The Forum also served as an opportunity to highlight the necessity of durable political consensus to achieve strategic objectives and reconfirmed that European integration remains a national priority, requiring collective and coordinated efforts from all involved actors.

The European Integration Forum of the Republic of Moldova reached its 11th edition in 2025 and is organized annually by the Friedrich Ebert Foundation in Moldova, the Institute for European Policies and Reforms (IPRE), and the Association for Foreign Policy (APE), in partnership with the Office for European Integration and the Soros Foundation Moldova.
