State of the Country Report 2025

The 2025 State of the Country Report analyzes the economic, social, and political developments in the Republic of Moldova during 2024. The report highlights three key dimensions of the country’s state: the well-being of the population, the business environment, and governance. The publication emphasizes the issue of poverty, showing how economic stagnation, declining real incomes, and inflationary pressures have affected living standards, and identifies the vulnerabilities and policies needed to reduce inequalities and improve the population’s well-being. The State of the Country Report is a joint project of the Independent Analytical Center „Expert-Grup” and the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung.
