The Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung in Moldova, together with the Institute for Development and Social Initiatives (IDIS) “Viitorul,” published the study “The 100 Most Pressing Problems of the Republic of Moldova in 2024,” providing a clear overview of the country’s main socio-economic and institutional challenges.

The Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung in Moldova, together with the Institute for Development and Social Initiatives (IDIS) “Viitorul,” published the study “The 100 Most Pressing Problems of the Republic of Moldova in 2024,” providing a clear overview of the country’s main socio-economic and institutional challenges. The study identifies and analyzes 100 critical issues across key areas, including the economy, energy, agriculture, environment, education, social sector, media, justice, governance, and institutional development. The research is based on official data, surveys, expert interviews, and statistical analyses, offering a strategic tool for decision-makers, academics, and civil society.

The report highlights that Moldova’s major challenges cannot be addressed solely with internal resources and there is a strong need for consistent reforms, mobilization of external resources and investments, and strengthening institutional capacity are essential to ensure sustainable development and improve citizens’ quality of life. The study provides a practical guide for prioritizing strategic actions and designing effective public policies to address the country’s complex issues and support the necessary social, economic, and institutional transformations.
